I picked up my Kimber Montana 280 AI finally. I'm pretty stoked. The fit and finish on the rifle looks great. I've been wanting one of these since they first came out and will make a nice addition along side my Montana 7 WSM. The Talley rings, dies and Nosler brass (150 ct) should be here tomorrow hopefully so I can get to reloading and shooting!

I still have some Nosler 168 LRAB to try, as well as some 150gr TSX and 162gr A-Max bullets that I purchased today while stopping by Sportsman's here in town.

Congratulations on your new Kimber Montana 280 AI, you are going to love the caliber.
RL22 is THE powder to use.

Congrats on the Kimber. Nice rifles and the 280 Ackley is a good one.. Can't wait to see some targets and game pictures.

I can't think of a better lightweight do all rifle/cartridge combination for All around big game. Have you figured out what your going with for optics?

Nice rifle. In case she does NOT cooperate with accuracy there is a thread in 24 hour campfire with all the fixes. I liked all 3 of mine but could not get under 2MOA ever after sending a couple back to them.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty excited to get this one to the range next weekend.

thebear_78,

I got a Leupold Tactical 3.5-10x40 scope that I will be using. One of my favorite scopes.

JD338,

I got a bunch of RL22 on hand and that is one of the first powders I was going to try. Same with IMR 7828ssc.

What loads have you guys found that are working out well?
