Picked up my new toy today!

I picked up my new Ruger #1 7MM Mag today. As soon as I get the scope mounted, I'll take some pics. Also, I bought my daughter a new Savage Cub T .22 with a thumbhole stock the other day. I'll send pics of it on her birthday the 27th of this month.(daddy did good!) 8)
To bad deer season ended this past weekend, I would have liked to done some deer hunting this week while I'm laid off. Especially with my new toy.
But Tater (my son) has a youth hunt this weekend. :grin:

I hope you like your No.1 as much as I love mine! I've got 4 of them and I'm always on the look out for more of them. I like finding some of the older ones with 130- serial numbers to restore.

I live in Martin. Thats west Tn. about 60 miles north of Jackson.I hope to purchase a #1 in .243 some time in the future. I just found out since starting this thread, I have another week of furlough to live thru next week. Oh well, small game season is in.! make the best of what you've got. I was supposed to be on furlough this week but they offered me vacation time instead. next week is with no pay!

Yes POP, I would have to agree for the money spent it really is a beauty and very well made and feels so good in your hands. Truly a classic type of rifle.

My 300 RUM was stainless and grey laminate, This is the 2nd one of that configuration I have had. The only other thing that came close was a 10-22 with a brown laminate, and stainless heavy barrel tube. the wood on it looked similar to the Savage.

All ready got every thing but the scope! 160 AB's and RL22 CCI250 magnum primers. once fired brass, in Federal, Remington, and Winchester
go ahead and send the scope to me. I would rather owe you for the rest of my life as to cheat you out of it! :lol:
