Brought the 6mm-284 home. She is wearing a 20 MOA picatinny rail and Vortex Viper 6.5x20x44mm.

Can not wait until I shoot it.

It looks very nice; it is set up to perform admirably. Congratulations, Fotis.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO! I drooled on my keyboard! Very nice Fotis.
My load for my 6x284 is a 95gr Berger over 54grs of RL22, CCIBr2,Nosler 6.5 brass necked downed and fireformed to my chamber. I neck down the case with 2 different bushings in my Redding die leaving a small bump just above the shoulder and then fireform to my chamber. This load will exceed 3400fps and is <MOA in my gun. Hot load but safe in my gun - No pressure signs but at 54.5 it'll show extractor marks and bolt lift will get stiff. Took my Antelope with it at 453yds in 2011. This summer I'll finish load work on the A-max and the 90gr AccuBond.

Now that is a Hot Rod 6mm!!

Will be waiting to see how consistent it is. Looks like all the right components to be very accurate.

3 shot group 105 Berger VLD at a leisurely 3350 fps!

I gotta say, that would be a fun one! Sweet looking boomer there, Buddy.

The 284 wildcats always have a good following.....for GOOD REASON.

If not for the idiotic length max on our "legal round" brass.....both my 358 and upcoming 375 bore would have been on the 284 brass. Had a 6.5-284 MOA single shot pistol for a bit. IN A HANDGUN, legal as all get out. Go figure. Shoulda kept that one.

Betting the short WSM/RUM ? .375 bore up my sleeve at the moment ( I think ) will be a 375-284 clone. (or at least I am hoping. LOL)

It is a very nice looking rifle and I dont say that often about such with synthetic stocks. (Told ya I was odd).

Photo reminds me I wanted to look for threads on custom stocks. (or make one) I've got this "itch" you see and "need" to look into that a bit. Woodpecker that I am, I've never held a synthetic I really liked, even kevlar, BUT every time I put a "ding" in one of my wood stocks...I have to wonder if I'm not missing the boat on that aspect. Used 'cause they normally give better accuracy I suppose but I think I'd have to somehow get an "acquired taste" for one forcing myself to use it. :| No offense intended to ANYONE reading. I'm just a couple decades behind is all.

I guess I LOOK AT my rifles more than I shoot them.....or something. :|

Lemme borrow that......maybe it will change my mind. We have some coyotes that need to be dead.

Fotis,

She looks great buddy.
That would make for one sweet antelope rifle!

Fotis that is a very good looking rifle .
I don't know how you find them  but sure can't wait for range report with photos of course.

Blessings,
Dan

But... That's a RRRRRRRemington!

Looks like quite a rifle. After a fair bit of 6mm experience, I'm predicting seriously dead coyotes, prairie dogs and pronghorns from that particular hot-rod 6mm... Enjoy!

No doubt that will be my next build. My dads got one gramps built him on a VZ-24 26" tube stamped 12-31-69 .it shoots great but the stock is for a lefty and it is quite the annoyance when you shoot it right handed. Everytime I shoot it I get a jaw full of cheek piece.

Too funny  Nothing wrong with a Remington action as long as it is removed from the rest of the parts and put back together with decent components :p . Most of the older Remingtons shoot well, so this is only the newer models I am referring to.

Rem 700 is my favorite action to build on.

My smith shares the same opinion. He was glad when I went from a M70 to a 700. Thinks I will be happier with the way it shoots. And a guy can find parts scattered all over in every shape and color for a 700.

Have you shot it yet Fotis?
