This morning I mentioned that I'd like to BBQ something for dinner. London Broil perhaps?

Came home from my bike ride, collapsed on the floor. Fell sound asleep. Mama came home from the market with 8 pounds of HUGE pork ribs.... Okay... I think I cooked some 10 or 12 years ago...

Low coals. Put an aluminum pan full of water in the good ol' Weber, hopefully to keep the heat down.

Slathered 'em with BBQ sauce. Sorry guys, no home-made stuff, I was desperate.

Will try to cook 'em low & slow for a couple of hours and see how they turn out...

Or, we could just order pizza.

I think you'll do well Guy. Keep the heat low and you'll be destroying some ribs later tonight. I love me some ribs too.

I put some ribs on the Traeger a few weeks back. They didn't last too long at the dinner table. Two evenings back, it was moose rib eye and moose sirloin. My wife had forgotten how much a teenager could eat. Two nearly finished the meat, leaving her muttering something or other about being eaten out of house and home. Whew! It's a good thing that moose opens in a month.

I did the exact same thing with my Weber on Friday! I invited a friend and his fiance over to give them their wedding gift and did some baby backs. Also diced some red potatoes, put them in aluminum foil with parsley, butter, salt and pepper, and then asparugus with the same treatment. No leftovers! :)

You're on the right track, the water definitely helps. Enjoy your ribs!

Man, that's some great sounding chow guys. I can't wait to get some meat on the smoker. Talk about mouth watering grub.

Mike, I imagine Mrs. Stark was happy to give up a little of her moose to them hungry teenagers! Ha.

Yeah, I threw some twice-baked potatoes on the grill while the steaks were cooking and added some mixed veggies. I just chuckled watching the food disappear. The night before was a rushed evening, so it was a quick trip to Panago to pick up three large pizzas (Mediterranean, Bacon Double Cheese and Chipotle Chicken). Yup! You guessed it. Three big 'uns pretty well disappeared at one meal. Frankly, it is a joy to see the children after so many years without a steady crowd at the table. 'Course, the hit on the wallet is tempered by the knowledge that they have to go back to school before too long.

That's great buddy. Sounds like a good time is being had by all! I know how much food my 15 year old puts away. Pretty sure I'm going to need an elk and a few deer to keep him growing. My 9 year old daughter eats beef and venison like its free, but man, it's good to see them eat.

Well, the ribs came out tender & juicy! My sons were both home, and the giant pile of ribs was reduced to nothing, rather quickly. You're right guys, young men eat, A LOT!

Next time, a little slower, cooler, longer cooking... I just didn't have time to do it quite right. Ah well, good enough.

Mama made artichokes too! Always fun.

Glad it worked out! Be careful, though; you'll be on the hook to do it again, and again, and... 8)
