Post your Hunting Rigs - Mine - 2014 Dodge Ram 2500HD

The last Jimmy that I had, ate wheel bearings for lunch with Cepek, Armstrong tires on it!

Something happened today that makes me have to update this...my uncle gave me my 4 wheeler back (2002 Polaris 500 HO)...I bought it new in 2001, kept it a few years, the baby (Daniel) came, she needed a car, I traded the 4 wheeler for her car...my uncle says he's not able to steer it any more so he gave it back to me...I tried to pay him, but he won't let me!

Its a good, well kept machine...I've done all the maintenance on it the whole time...and still used it for hunting even....very low hours (200 and something)...I'm glad to have it back!

1987 Samurai - 1.3L engine with Corolla carb, RUF with CJ rears, Rhino lined everything, Hankook DynaPro MT tires. I had the rear locked but it was not well behaved on the road.

If the Sami won't get there this one will. 2005 Arctic Cat 500 manual, hidden snorkel, EPI clutch kit, muffler mod, and jet kit:

I have really enjoyed the little Sami, it's a tank.

I have a set of 4:10 gears that I would like to get dropped in it.

My current.

08 Dodge Ram 4x4. Gets me wherever I need to go.

I'm hoping to get this one running one of these days. It needs a lot of work. '79 Dodge Adventurer 3/4 ton with a 318. I think it's a full time 4x4, so it's got a top speed of about 60. It'll climb a mountain though. It's passed around the family about 6 times.

The best truck I've ever owned was a full time 4wd...79 Chevy, 1/2 ton, long bed...bought it for $600, spent another $450 replacing a spindle, bearings, and outer axle....then drove it for 14 years without doing anything except routine maintenance...I always said I was gonna change the hubs and transfer case and do away with the "full time" part....but never did.

Lol...always said I was gonna paint it too....but it still had the same gray primer on it when I sold it (for $600)

That 203 Transfer case has a Differential in it. Same as a standard front or rear. Front hubs are always locked So you burn fuel turning the front end. There are After Market Hubs for some of the Models. Others Have the Vacuum shift Dana. It is a big heavy Tranfer case prone too Leaking gear oil. In the old 4x4 trucks the Transfer case you want is the 205 with a Dana 60 front

My truck is a 2013 Tundra Crew Max 4x4. Use it to tow the Wheeler trailer.
To get pass gates and ride in: 2014 Can-Am Outlander Max XT 1000 in Camo.

Here is my Dodge getting a new clutch.. Not an entirely fun job to be totally honest..

Here is the NV273 transfer amongst a couple drivelines and a gazillion bolts..

My buddy taking the last of the pieces off the crank from the old clutch..

Here is the G56 sitting on the stand ready to get bolted back in... Hopefully it'll be up and running today..

Wish me luck, there are about 100 other things I'd rather be doing today, that is for sure!

2013 polaris big boss. It will go damn near anywhere and haul abunch of gear in and meat out. About all it needs is some better tires!

Using a Dual Disc Clutch in your replacement?

No sir, stuck with a Southbend Single for the G56. They are good for 500HP and supposed to be as smooth as stock. So far the smooth part is correct. We shall see when I pull again. A long couple of days in the shop!
