I'm sorry, I wasn't clear... A pressure bedded barrel would influence the harmonics of the barrel much like creating a shorter barrel. The very reason a typical benchrest gun has a shorter barrel in the first place. I wouldn't encourage a barrel to be pressure bedded nor would I desire a longer barrel for a benchrest type of rifle.
