Oh my goodness! I hadn't cooked a prime rib in over 20 years. We switched from our usual ham or turkey for Christmas dinner to prime rib.
Apparently I did just fine, because it sure smelled delicious as I was cooking, and everyone enjoyed dinner. Mmmmmm. That stuff is GOOD! I liked how Mama could have her more well-cooked slice from the heavily spiced end cut, and the semi-domesticated young men could have their bloody rare pieces from the center cut. Everyone was happy.

You'll just have to take my word for it. Good stuff, and not very hard to cook.
