Just wanted to show you all a picture of the boy after he earned his Hunters Safety Certificate and Patch! He did well and got a 99% on his test. Very proud of him. He handled the firearms like he was a pro and got many compliments from the staff. He acted like a beagle on a hot trail when it came time to follow the simulated blood trail. Just very happy with him. Hope he gets a chance to stick a deer with his bow this year and then put a few deer in the freezer with his 243. Scotty

Congratulations to the young man! Yes his .243 will not bounce off the hide of a deer now will it Scotty! Looks like sis might be next in line to get her certificate? Dad's a little excited isn't he!! Take lots of pictures. You can now be MR. Camera for the rest of us and we will enjoy every one Scotty.

David.

Scotty,

Congratulations to your son! I know how proud you are, I am a State Certified Hunter Safety Instructor and I get the privilege to see the faces of the young hunters and their parents.

I can't wait to see the trophy shots this coming season.

Yeah, she is pretty girly, but I am holding out some hope she will come around a little. Mom likes to hunt as well, so if Mom does it, she might give it a whirl.. She is a tough little girl, but obviously much more into dolls and that stuff than Noslers, bolt guns and shooting!

I am going to get him jamming quick like and ready for the boy season. The urban area I hunt here in Va is unlimited, so he should be able to get a Rage in a deer this year. If not, I think Brian has some good spots for a young hunter with a 243! Scotty

Scotty thats the name of the game.
Nice family and by the way your son should be
proud of having a father like that.
I didnt had a hunter father, I had to learn
by my way, for sure would liked that my father
showed me the way.
Be always proud for sure your son will always be
of you.
Congrats.

I think we should put him in your favorite stand behind the club  Good spot for that 243 and not your 45-70

Congrats to your son Scotty and to you! Well done! you got some great times ahead of you an the best hunting partners no matter what! CL

Scotty

Great pictures, he did very well, hopefully you can keep the hunting fires burning in him, it will be a great season for you both.

Congratulations Scotty!

Dad always told me "Take your boy hunting, you'll never have to hunt your boy"!

Hope it's a very memorable season for both of you!

Scott -
Thanks for investing the time in the young man and teaching him the correct way to shoot and handle rifles. The time you invest now will pay huge rewards when you get to share the first kill with him.

Congrats, we need to encourage as many of our sons and daughters as we can. Really we should be encouraging everyone :)

Blessings,
Dan

Scotty, his smile says it all! Hope that he has a chance to put a .243 Partition into a deer this year. My grandson got his Hunter's safety two years ago and these kids are sure happy and enthusiastic about doing that. Good luck to him deer hunting.

You know I remember taking Hunters Safety and you could just tell the difference in the kids who had been out doing this with their Dad since they were old enough to hold a rifle steady and the ones who still felt awkward handling them. I too am so grateful to have a Dad who not only hunts but took me and all of my sisters hunting with him.

He will be a great hunter and like you pass it on to his kids some day. Way to be Scotty!
