I have a request for 280 AI using 169 Hammer Hunters and IMR 4350.

I have a few pounds of it and very little H4350. Just wondering what I can get out of it

Thanks!

Thanks a bunch. A bit slower than H4350 but I'm sure I can work up a good load. My barrel runs a little fast anyways

IMR7828SSC worked well in my 280AI with the 168 gr ABLR although velocity was on the lower end.

I've used it in 280AI with 145 LRX going 3200 but I'm out, sadly. Haven't been able to find any more

That 8 twist 280ai is screaming Absolute Hammers, either 155g or 140g.

My regular 280 Rem with 140g AH and IMR4350 hit 3200 fps with slight pressure sign and excellent accuracy at just over 3100.

Allen, I'm going to have to look into those at some point. At this time, I wouldn't consider myself the best reloader on the block so I've been cautious about using them. I'll have to talk to you about where to start if I get some

RL22 rocks if you can get it. Top speeds and excellent accuracy are the norm. Contrary to what you hear on the internet about temperature stability, RL22 has been just fine for me and no different than any other powder.
I did have trouble finding an accuracy node for the 168 gr ABLR with RL22 so I tried other powders to no avail. When I started using IMR7828SSC, things suddenly changed for the better

I haven't been able to find much Alliant powder around in the last couple years, especially RL22 and 26. I'd love to get my hands on either.

Good gracious that rifle of yours shoots well.

Same here. I have a good supply of RL22 but down to my last can of RL26 (ferry dust).
