Hello, wanted to see if anyone could run a QL for me for a 358 Norma Mag with a 23.75” barrel and 1:12 twist for a 254gr Hammer Hunter. Have some load data from various manuals and was trying IMR-4350, but it’s really compressed without getting to max loads with the smallest charge range for a 250gr.
Thanks!

The 358 Norma is a real powerhouse. Since it's basically a necked up 338 WM, I would think a faster burn rate like IMR/H4895 and RL19 would get you where you want to be.

My QL does not include Hammer bullets. If the latest update includes those bullets, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks @DrMike and @JD338. I saw some of the older QL posts for 358 NM for the some 250gr 358 NM loads. I have some IMR-4895, as well as Staball6.5 and Win 760, so I think that gives me enough options to work with for now.

I’m running the June 2021 QL update and it has Hammer bullets in it. I have no idea how they post their results on here. There is another update coming in January 2022.

Hello,
Just wanted to circle back on this with my results from the IMR-4350.
This shoot was only for velocity at 25yards, but grouping overall was about 2.5 MOA. One shot per charge. Did not get to stiff bolt or flattened primers.

The newest QL data does include Hammer bullets. The data requested provides this projection:

Code:
Cartridge : .358 Norma Mag.
Bullet : .358, 245, Hammer SH
Useable Case Capaci: 74.228 grain H2O = 4.820 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.346 inch = 84.99 mm
Barrel Length : 23.8 inch = 603.3 mm
Powder : IMR 4350

Results caused by ± 10% powder lot-to-lot burning rate variation using nominal charge
Data for burning rate increased by 10% relative to nominal value:

That would be a moderately compressed load, to be sure.
