I'm not sure if the 129 LRX is even listed in QL, but if it is, I sure would like some data for 64K? I figure 64K will give me a little room if a rifle ends up liking the load listed. I can use Nosler or Winchester brass. ( Heck, I can gather up some RWS if its the best?) Looking at R19 and R16 ( along with the Extreme Powders for this weight...thanks! :)
 
I just found the old data for the 130 TTSX in a 22" barrel, I'll use it. You guys "make good choices" during this flu season! don't listen to all the rumors either. Another person can sacrifice "their" freedom, they cannot Constitutionally sacrifice "yours".
 
Jim, the 270 Win data is 65K PSI in all of the load manuals and QL by default. So you can use just about any 130 data and work up safely.

What’re you looking for in particular? The old standards from 4350’s-RL26 and all in between will easily get you into the 3100 range.

Thank you sir! I am gathering up some R16 to try with some RWS brass I have coming. I do have R26 as well. It did very well in my last 270, as you guys know, especially with the 160PT. Anyhow, I'm looking for 3100+ with a temp stable powder, especially cold weather, though, our Falls can get pretty warm during the day. Heck, years ago early October, for the full week ( poor,poor hunting) was hot and dry. I dare say it was around 85-90. Anyhow, thanks Doc! I really appreciate the time you take to do this, but you "know" the Lord will Bless you for helping "Me", right? :) Stay healthy guys!
 
Whoopee! 53.6gr R16/129 TTSX, new RWS cases/ BR2 primer. Clean barrel after another powder/load trial, and "forgot" to use a spare factory Federal 110 TTSX for a fouling shot! So, I had the first shot, then the 2nd went about an inch away. The next 3 shots "cut a ragged hole". I will clock it later. 70 deg, blustery tail wind on top of this! What a sweet heart!
 
What did you get for speed Jim? I tried RL16 with the 130 Tipped Bear Claw and lost primers around 3100'ish in my 22" Featherweight.
 
I haven't clocked them yet Scotty, hopefully I will get to this week! I have my loads all set for all three rifles. They would have to be really, really slow for me to abandon them as they are tack drivers! ha
 
In my 270, I’m getting 3129fps with 60.1 grains of RL-26, 130 grain E-Tip, CCI 200 primer, at 3.340” OAL, .020” off lands. Redding FL die. Consistent sub half inch groups from a 24” barrel, no pressure signs at all, and it’s 2.3 grains under what QL shows as a max safe load. Just so happens that this E-Tip load won’t group with the usual long jump to the lands. With 7828 it likes a jump of .110” for best accuracy. I don’t try to go over 3125 with a 130gr bullet in 270 Win. It’s easier on brass and the rifle. If 130 grains at 3125fps MV won’t do the job then 3225 or more won’t either. Also, at 3125 you better be using bonded, monos, or a Partition if you want the bullet to hold together under 150 yards.
 
My R16 load fell apart, could not repeat it. I then just fell back to the old standbys, H4350 & H4831sc. I also seated the bullets a tad deeper, right to the top of the first groove, then crimmped. 55.4/H4350 and 60.5/H4831sc both gave bug-hole, 4 shot groups, same zero! I had settled on Nosler brass /BR2/62.5gr/Hunter/110 TTSX sighted +1 inch high at 100. The 129 loads (RWS brass/BR2 )both hit "exactly" +2 " high @100! I will chrono later.
