Hey Guys,
Was hoping someone could run some numbers for me please. I'm over book and not showing pressure signs but want to see what the numbers might be.

Hornady Brass
Federal GM210M Primers
2.830" OAL

I'm using IMR4350 at the moment but can sort through the whole list.

Thank you as always.

Thanks Doc. Appreciate it as always.

That's a pretty dang accurate workup on the 4350.
I settled at 43.2gr. as that was my fastest node right at an avg. of about 3020.
I had pushed it as far as 45 gr. and that's where I started to show pressure signs, just a slight extractor mark.

Impressed with the accuracy of the program.

Just need to check the accuracy of the actual load now tomorrow. The longest I could load them due to magazine restrictions is still .122" off the lands. I've never jumped a ballistic tip that far but we'll see how she goes.

With my Ruger 1B I'm also using IMR4350 and Federal 210 M primers. I'm using the 100 gr. Partition. My load is also just right at or slightly above what the books typically list.

100 gr. Nosler Partition
43.4 grs. IMR4350.
2.90 OAL - No magazine to limit length which is nice.

Glad to see other folks who love this round as much as I do. You hunting black bears and Sitka deer with it?? I know Guy really likes that 95 gr. Ballistic Tip in his 6mm and has gotten excellent results with it. I've sure been impressed with the performance the Partition has given my over the years. My son is using the 100 gr. Partition in one of his 6mm's and 90 gr. E-tip in the other. He took his first elk with the E-tip at 350 yards. One shot.

6mm Remington - best .243 caliber out there!! Yes just a wee bit biased!

Ha! A "wee bit" indeed.

Ya, it's been a long time since I loaded anything except the 95 grain Ballistic Tip & Reloader 22 for our 6mm Rem...

I say "our" because I officially gave it to my youngest son, but he keeps it in my gunsafe, so not much has actually changed.

I do have some 100 gr Partitions loaded for him as well.

Yeah I was kind of bummed the magazine didn't allow me to run them longer. It's an older Remington 660 and per usual has a long throat on it. Going to head to the range today hopefully if my buddy ever gets out of bed...and we'll see what comes of this load. Unless it's lights out shooting wise I may play around with some RL17/19 that I have to see if I can eek some more speed out of her. I've got a couple pounds of 22 as well but it's reserved for the 257 Bob.

Mainly right now just working the load with plans to use it as a "practice" rifle for the most part since it's a bit less expensive to shoot often. I use it in the winter with a reduced load with Sierra 90gr FMJs to shoot coyotes and lynx, hopefully a wolf one of these days, but I can't find anymore of the FMJs so the ones I have are in reserve for hunting only. Would love to take it out for Sitkas, or down south for whitetails, but where there are Sitkas up here there are also brown bears so would be pretty unnerving, more so than it already is, walking through the brush with a 6mm. Good beach gun though and will most likely chase some mountain blackies and caribou with it at some point.

660 Remington!

The 6mm I gave my son was my first big-game rifle which is a Remington Model 600 which is also a Montana Centennial rifle made in 1964. I know first hand your woes of the short magazine. On my son's Ruger MKII he has a longer magazine which is just right and you can seat the bullets out instead of stuffed so far down in the case.

I knew you were going to jump on that Guy!

Ended up shooting fine even with the jump. Under an inch with 2 touching at 100 so that'll do for me. Think I'm gonna keep this one in my back pocket and play around with some reloader to see if I can get some more speed out of it though. If I can get another 150-200fps out of it it'll carry a lot more foot pounds as I start to reach out which is my main concern.

I never kept a round-count through "our" 6mm Remington.

Often thought about replacing the 22" factory barrel with a 24" or 26" tube though... That would net some more velocity I'd think!

Still, roughly 3,000 fps with a 100 gr bullet is pretty deadly, and pretty flat shooting.

Oh she's definitely fast enough with this load Guy. I just have plenty of time at the moment to tinker with her. I also have a 5lb jug of each 17/19 that I'm not using for anything else at the moment so figured I'd see what they give me. I'll definitely revert back to this load if they don't give me the accuracy I want though.

I use the 4350 in a few different rifles, added one more yesterday as I worked up a load for a buddies .338WM, and while I've still got plenty in the jug would be nice to spread the love a bit if I can. Somewhat off subject but man that 4350 is consistent in the 338. Hit a node between 71.1 and 71.7gr. with an ES of 3fps. with some 225 Accubonds. Will load some of those today and shoot for groups but pretty sure it should be lights out.
