Tough to beat RL 22 in the 280 AI.
140 gr at 3240 fps and 160 gr at 3018 fps from a 24" barrel. Accuracy is stellar!

JD you tried Ramshot's Hunter or Magnum in that cartridge?

From what I've seen Hunter does extraordinarily well in cartridges that RL19 would otherwise be well suited to. That has gone for both my 6mm-250 as well as my 30-06.

From what I've read (and am looking to experience w/ my new Roy) the latter does extraordinarily well in cartridges that RL22 is suited to... they are ball powders, so you get higher load density from a slower powder.

Schantz's down in Otsego carries the stuff and it is only like $17/lb! Definately worth a try...
