The 30-06 will never go away, a proven killer. Very efficient cartridge. Just put one in the Boiler Room and their dead. Still can't go wrong with a 165-180 bullet. :wink:

Yes, you have demonstrated a lot of common since like a lot of us on this forum. I still can see the picture of that antelope you shot with that 416 and the gaping, I mean gaping whole in the side of that dead but already gutted antelope and the ground looked like it had been spray painted with blood. One thing for sure when you hit something with a big round, you don't have to worry about it being almost dead or about to die. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yes, that 300 at that velocity or the 350gr TSX that I used at 2820fps leave gaping holes and immediate death. What a lot of people might not think of the reason the TSX works so well in the 416Wby is because not only the velocity but the humongous hole int the tip of a 416 TSX. It can't help but open up and open up it does. :mrgreen:
