Got out to the range today and took my Zastava M70 in 6.5x55 and also my Accumark in .340Wby

The 6.5 did very well as seen below...

Got some work to do with the .340 though. Next up will be some 225 TTSX and Nosler 250gr AB

The 6.5 is shooting very well. As you say the .340, needs some tweaking. Either one will probably be adequate for most game animals.

The 6.5 is definitely perking along for you. Nothing wrong with those loads.

Did you run the 6.5 over a Chrony?

No, unfortunately I forgot to bring my chrono. Will be heading out next weekend and will make sure to take it along.

Very nice, that 6.5 Swede is a shooter buddy. Seems like it is planting all of the shots on point. Very nice!

I wouldn't imagine it'll take too much to turn that 340 into a tackdriver either.

Nice work Boomer.
The 6.5 Swede looks great. I like the 130 gr AB load. ;)
Your 340 Wby is almost there.

Thanks guys. Really impressed with the Swede. Just shot the two loads, and she is already good to go :)
The 340 needs some 7828 and 250 Accubonds...lol

If you're going to run with the 225 TTSX get some RL-22, you'll be glad you did.

I do indeed have some RL22. Can you suggest a starting charge? I was seating them to 3.620" OAL.

Shoot, do you Weatherby guys weigh those charges out? I figured you filled them up like an old coal stove and let it eat!

I ran mine at 86.5 grains and was super accurate. Worked up to 89.0 but started getting pressure signs and backed off to 88.0 and it still shot great but not quite as good as 86.5. I seated mine at the center of the top most grove, 3.665.

That is exactly how I did it but here on the forum I figured I should at least put some charge weight out there.

You will like the results you get on game from those 130 Accubonds. I have been shooting it in my 264 Win mag for 4 years and I really like the results. Bang Flop a dozen or so deer with an exit from 30 to a little over 400 yards so far.

RL-22 is a wonderful powder in LOTS of calibers. This is what my old 340 did with RL-22, at 86.5 grains and 88 grains with a 225 TTSX.
