Because of injured shoulder and 2 surgeries, I'm looking for reduced loads for a Remington 7600, carbine in 30-06. I hunt the Adirondacks shots are 100 yds or less. Does anyone have a reduced load for a 150 gr Partition or a 170 gr (30-30) bullet. Any help would be appreciated.

wcc,

Try starting loads of 57.5 grs RL19 (2776fps) or 55.0 grs IMR4831 (2652fps) with the 150 gr PT. You might also want to install a Pachmyer Decellerator recoil pad to soften the recoil.

Speer lists reduced loads in their manual. I haven`t tried any of them but they might be something to look at. You might be better off with the 30-30 bullet at low velocity in place of the Partition although both will work.

I've had good accuracy with rem 150 30-30 corelockts and 42 grains imr 3031. 2450 fps and 1" groups. Very mild to shoot. From the Lyman 47
manual. Low pressure load too.

Check out the youth loads from Hodgdon's site using Nosler 125 bT's
