I SHOOT A 7MM-08 WITH A 16 1/2 INCH BARREL. I JUST STARTED RELOADING I AM LOADING NOSLER BALLISTIC TIP 140 GRAIN 284" DIA I USE IMR 4350 POWDER. I NEED MIN. AND MAX GRAINS OF POWDER.I ALSO NEED THE LENTH TO TRIM MY CASING AND LENTH AFTER BULLET IS LOADED.I REALLY ENJOY RELOADING BUT CANT SEEM TO FIND THIS DATA.I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF SOME ONE COULD GET ME THIS INFORMATION THANKS FOR THE HELP

Brass max length should be 2.035" so if trimming you would go 2.025". Now barrel length can make a difference in powder amounts. But the Nosler reloading manual (for rifle) would be 42.0 gn - 46.0 gn. Total bullet length (OAL) should be around 2.80.

All this specific data is available in the Nosler #4 & #5 manuals, and the OAl, trim and generic 140gr bullet data with IMR4350 is available in everyone elses that manufactures a 140 / 139gr 7mm bullets including the IMR Powder reloading booklet and the web sites of some of these manufactures if they list data.

As a starting reloader I strongly suggest you invest in a couple manuals and read the "how to" section before browsing the data pages. Much of what you need to know is here and it can possibly save you some serious headaches in the future. I`m not suggesting you don`t ask questions, I very strongly urge you to if you have questions. The load data from the manuals is writen and documented in a lab though, and the text is invaluble when planning a new load. Something you don`t get from the "net".
Please use the starting load listed by the other poster and work up when you start. He gave good data, be safe and welcome to a wonderful hobby...................Joe

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION. I WILL GO BY SURPLUS CITY TODAY AND PICKUP A COUPLE OF MANUALS. I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT.
