Reloading supplies...

I was at Dillon's the other day and they didn't seem concerned. Had the normal stock of powder, bullets, and primers. I've been stocking up from Midsouth and SPS, so luckily I should be good for the next year or so.

I posted this on the wrong thread a while ago (undoubtedly a definitive sign of galloping senility). Still, I thought it would be of interest to this thread.

"Here's a fascinating article that just came out: http://cnsnews.com/blog/gregory-gwyn-wi ... just-three. Brownells sold in three hours a volume of PMags equivalent to what would normally be sold in 3.5 years! On the Sinclair International site, a disclaimer is posted at the entry page: "Due to extreme volumes, and winter storms, order shipment may be delayed. Thank you for your patience." Of course, the same disclaimer is posted on Brownells and the Police Store."

I did some phone calling to friends and my sister and so far have come up with 1 lb of H-4350 (my mainstay), IMR 3031, and H-1000. None of this will be needed for several months.

I bought the last brick of LR primers, only had Federal 210's left, and LP primers at the local gun shop on Thursday. A guy walked up right behind me and bought the last three 100 packs of LR, every remaining SR primer and a the remaining six 100 packs of LRMagnum primers. A month ago the shelf was full of Remington, CCI and Federal primers of all ilk.

They must make good stocking stuffers....

Wow..... these stories are amazing to read. I was just at Cabela's in Post Falls Idaho the other day looking for a few x_mas gifts, and two other stores for patches, gun cleaner, 40 S&W ammo and 22 long rifle ammo..... I needed to have something to shoot squirrels and rabbits with if the World ended! Anyway, there was a lot of shoppers buying guns, but there was still a lot of ammo, and hand loading supplies on hand here!

I have always stocked up on brass on any gun I've owned, two hundred pieces is the minimum I ever buy. And 5 lbs. of powder for a developed load in the same lot is always a good thing to have on hand in my opinion. The last time I read about this early this year I did stock up on primers.... this must cause prices to go up if the demand is so high...... which sucks for us!

Walmart had a pond of RL22 and some shotgun primers today.

Same here. Some of the stores are jacking up the prices already on what they have left..
