Recently made a purchase of 9mm bullets for a good price. Being somewhat of a reloading geek I have a good supply of materials that were purchased at pre shortage prices.
Figured out my cost per round to load 9mm with these materials.

Bullet .025
Primer .027
Powder .011 4.2 grains Tightgroup at 19.99 per pound.
Brass .03 Less as the brass gets recycled

Total 9.3 cents per round.

Granted some of the bullets are hardcast or JRN but 1000 are JHP so could work for carry ammo in a pinch.

I’ve actually got Titegroup purchased for 17.99 but went with the last price I paid for it.
Ive also got a supply of Nosler HPs which raises the price somewhat but still cheaper than purchasing ammo.

Unlike in the past, at the current cost for ammo, this seems worthwhile to spend the time at the reloading bench.

I've always found reloading to be enjoyable and any savings is just a bonus.

That said what I found is that the more premium the loaded ammo the more cost savings doing it yourself.

Example...
There was a time I could load on average over 5 case loadings (brass cost factor) load 300wsm a box of 20 with 180gr ballistic silver tip for around $11-$12 a box of 20

At the time Winchester premium of same load retail was about $60 per box of $20

Not sure about today...

If I buy a premium box of Weatherby 300 ammo, its about $6/round. I can load the same ammo for just over half with new brass, or for $1.50 with the brass I have.
