Rem 280 & 160 gr AB

Neither of my 673 are bedded and the both seem to shoot well. My 6.5 shoots the 129 Interlock very well am accepting that bullet for that rifle.

The 350 RM seems to shot most 250 grs well. I have shot Partitions, Hot-Cors and Hornady all with great luck.

The 280 was great with the E-tips, but needs a little more work with the AB. Since I have a several hundred of them, I have lots to work with.

Cheers
Eric

I'd like to play with the 160 AB and 7828 SSC in my .280. So far I have awesome accuracy (.38 MOA) with the 150 ETip and RL22, however it is slow, only 2650 FPS.

Try loading the E-Tip .100" off the lands. They like a lot of jump.

Chrono'd the 150 gr E-tips last week at 2860 FPS.

Shooting good groups so will use this as the default load.

Will work on the 160 AB also.

That velocity with the 150 E-Tip will work very well on game. Great show, Eric.

I had great results with Varget loads increased by .5gn/shot and the 160gn Sierra Game Kings. The Partition's are likely to have a slightly slower speed but likely equal accuracy. The max load I tested was 47gn of Varget, giving an average of 2750fps from a Rem lg rifle primer.

I used up to 60gn of Win Supreme 780 with the 160gn Partitions, but they didn't group well so. There were no groups with the Sup 780 powder that did well, so I think there are some barrel harmonics with that load that simply don't go well with that bullet.

I should have mentioned earlier also,,,,,,
The 160gr. AB with RL-25 is my son's 7mm Rem Mag., favorite Elk load.

"I'd be interested in seeing the results as well. I'm currently working on a load for
140 gr AB's and was thinking of bumping up to a heavier bullet next.

For the 140 Accubonds and the 280 the magic load is 58gns of H4831. This load came from John Barsness and works equally well for the 270. I have loaded for a couple of each and this load was really really good.
