I have about 50 factory 7mm Rem Mag 150gr rounds sitting on my bench with no rifle to shoot them. I'm thinking of switching over to 7 Wsm. I'm planning on pulling the bullets on those rounds and resizing them to 257 WBY. I was checking min / max loads for powder types and it seems that a max powder charge for a 7mm Rem 150 gr load is roughly equivalent to a light 257 WBY 120 gr load. Do you guys think I can reuse the powder? Should I just throw it away?

Yup. Pitch the powder, use the cases for your 257 and the bullets to break in your new 7mm WSM barrel!

I'm with Scotty and that cowboy from Nevada. No sense wrecking a rifle and fingers/eyeballs just to be cheap. And, that's coming from someone so tight I sometimes squeak when I walk.

I'll add one more voice to the steady tempo of advice to pitch the powder and save the bullets. Or you could just buy another 7RM. It can always be useful to have one around.
