Hey guys it looks like I will be the proud owner of a Leica scope :)
Also my nephew has emailed Accuracyplus and ask them to email him on Tuesday:) It looks like he is going to buy the Model 70 338 win mag. I told him that it is likely a step down from his 700  but he will just learn from the exprience
Sorry Scotty

Blessings,
Dan

Great Dan, we need to see your new gun in action :) Accuracy Plus is a great place to buy used guns their pricing is usually very good. $499 for a LH 338 WM is almost unheard of when it to Winchesters maybe you can let us know how it works out, just an action alone can be quite a bit more money. I did think about buying it and reselling for a small profit but I'm not really that kind of guy.

I'll guarantee you that I've paid more for actions! I think that sounds like a steal, Dan. Good grab.

Quoting this most important message...

Gees only 2 remarks I am disappointed  as I know that there are a lot of model 70 people out there.
If Austin gets it I will be the first to tell you how it shoots

Blessings,
Dan

Just because a rifle doesn't produce, doesn't mean it won't shoot. Many times, it's the Indian and not the arrow that is at fault. I wouldn't dis the Model 700, but I will say that those Model 70s will shoot.

That is very true Doc, see I knew about Model 70s but then found a Model 700 and just figure it would be 10 times better
I have been fortunate that I have been able to get most rifles that I have loaded for to at least 1"moa. But have spent many hours with charges and OALs for the touchy ones,
The rifle that gave me the most problems is a new Remington did I say that  in a 223 cal.

Blessings,
Dan

Hey guys Accuracy Plus was closed yesterday and I called them first thing this morning but the Model 70 338 win mag was sold and shipped out west this morning. But not to any of my family
We missed a good one I believe.
Thanks for the tip and I will be checking their site real regularly from now on.

Blessings,
Dan

...do they get a telethon???

That was quick, too bad he missed out :( It was a great deal they could have sold it for a lot more. That is one site I check out often since their pricing is quite good, they have also been really good to deal with.
