I really enjoy seeing all the cool rifles you guys show, and particularly the range reports & hunt reports involving those rifles.

I just flat love rifles! Even when I was a little boy, 50 years ago, Dad had his rifles on a gun rack in MY bedroom! How could I help but grow up loving rifles when all those things we stored in my room at age 6? I did have to ask permission from him to take even one off the rack... We had lever actions, bolt actions, single shots, take-downs... He had quite a few then, and more later.

Please keep sharing these wonderful photos & reports. I seem to like them all.

My favorites, are classic bolt action & single shot sporters, walnut & blued steel. But I deeply appreciate a good synthetic stocked, stainless rifle. And all the other configurations.

Never get tired of seeing JD338's gray ghosts... Those black & gray laminate stocked tack drivers.

Fotis' rifle of the week.

Dr. Mike's bughole shooters. He manages to get match rifle groups out of anything that's labeled Winchester on it...

6mmRemington's giant killing small-bore hunting rifles.

Scotty's hard working medium bore blasters...

And all the rest, be they lever, bolt, semi-auto, single shot and even the front-stuffers. Really appreciate the real working rifles, carried afield and used on game.

Show 'em off!

Guy

I too love them all and enjoy looking at what other guys use. I also tend to run with Guy in that I love the bolt actions and single shot rifles most of all but really appreciate some of the other kinds and I have always had an itch for a good lever action. I guess I do have an old 1873 Winchester 38 WCF or 38-40 if you will. It is a hoot to shoot but not really a hunting lever rifle although it's probably shot a few deer and I did shoot one with it.

What do you mean Guy..... GIANT KILLING SMALL BORE RIFLES!!

Good thread Guy!
I like reading and seeing the pictures of everyone's shooting irons.

Here's my 280 AI Kenny Jarrett made for me over a decade ago. It now wears a USO 1.7-10x37 scope with the GAP reticle, super clear glass, and tracks perfectly my only beef is the numbers are hard for me to see on the elevation knob..... USO has been working on making a upgrade to fix this issue for us Old Guys and I would have hoped to see it at my door this summer but I'm still waiting on that fix.

This rifle has taken quite a few game animals for me in the past. My most memorable was a 350 yard running shot on a Black Buck down in Texas. I moved forward till I got him running dead away from me and had the cross hairs up between his horns and caught him just below the balls! The 150 Nolser BT was resting between the skin and his chest.

Thought I'd drop a few pictures of rifles I had out for work this week.

Winchester Model 70, .284 Win.

Winchester Featherweight, .30-06

Winchester Featherweight, 7X57

Yeah, I like Featherweights; they've treated me pretty good in the field.

I've really enjoyed the Model 94s as well. Here are a couple that I've collected.

Model 94 Big Bore, .356.

Model 94 Big Bore, .307

Another .307

I've assembled a small collection of these Big Bores; I sure do like them. They have worked well for me over a number of years now.

Very nice Mike , I see you have two plastic bottles there, that 10 cents will get you a couple more primers.   Couldn't help my self Mike. It's been a long day and I guess I'm a little punch drunk from 24hrs with out sleep.
