RL 19 in 2506?

I actually used the same method Berger mentions with finding an accuracy node with their bullets, only I didn't jam the bullets, and started .010 off the rifling and made approximately .035" changes in depths in order to see where it liked to shoot. Works well, thinking I might try it again with my 300WSM and see if I can really dial in a great load with that.

I've used that method for a number of years; it works very well, indeed.

Mike, do you find a most accurate powder charge first, then tweak for seating depth? Just wondering, as I think others do it vice versa as well, but I would think the harmonics would change, when you start altering the charge?

Scotty,

I always find the most accurate charge first; then, I tweak the seating depth. It has worked quite well for me. If I have a good standard deviation, it will be maintained despite altering seating depth.

Here was the group I shot with the load of 51.5 RL19, CCI250's, WW cases and 115 PT's. It was seated to 3.070" COAL.

Seems pretty good to me.

Nothing wrong with that Scotty!
Plus it's a Partition.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I need to rechrono it, but I think I am in the 3060 range and the load feels very gentle on the shoulder.
