Any loads? Looking at 150 gr and 160 gr bullets.

Pop,

Don't rule out RL22, 63.0 grs (Max) with the 160 gr AB.

Retumbo and RL-25 are a tad on the slow side for the 7mm Rem mag, but will work.

Reloader 22 seems to be a perfect match.

I do admit though, that I am playing around with some Retumbo loads now... Just haven't found one worth reporting on yet.

Regards, Guy

That load gave me, on average, about 2850 fps or so in many 7mm rem mags. I had to go up to 66 gr to realize 3000 fps.

Same as the classic 67.5 gr RL22 140 bt at 3350 fps. This load never broke 3200 fps for me.
I had to go to 70 gr of RL22 to get to 3300 fps.

I was hoping for 3100 --160 gr, 3200fps 150 gr, with these slower powders.

POP,

I have loaded 67 grains of RL25 with Fed 215 primers and 160 grain Barnes TSX to reach 2975 fps. Accuracy was not exceptional, though it was acceptable. I used this load to harvest a fine moose a couple of years ago. I loaded to 69 grains, but accuracy began to degrade after 67, and I only achieved an additional 70 fps. Also, I loaded Retumbo to a max of 69 grains (WLR primers and Speer 160 BTSP) for a velocity of 2943 fps. Again, accuracy was acceptable though not spectacular. I have stayed focused on slightly faster powders.

Here is another load worth looking into. IMR 4350 powder,63 grains (max load) 3248 fps with the 150 grain Nosler Partition or 150 grain Nosler ballistic tip.

Noslers Rock!

POP,
I tried both RL25 & Retumbo & H1000 out of my 7mag with 150 b-tips.
Of course I have no idea on velocities but couldn't get them to group.
Tried RL-19 & 140gr A-Bonds with great results. 64.0grns

Hi POP, work up to 70.5 grains of RL25 with the 160 AccuBond, Ive had great results with that combo and the speed is up there, at 70 grs,3060fps average of 10 shots and .5 inch groups at 100yrds, bullet just off the lands. And if your rifle likes RL-25 and you see no pressure, if you go up to 70.6 grains you will be at 3100fps.
