This sure would compliment your #1 in .375 Guy. It looks like it's in good shape and just refinish the stock and it would be perfect.

Just think 25-06 in a nice bolt action like you have and a matching 25-06 in a superb single shot. .375 in a very nice bolt action Model 70 and your Ruger #1 in .375. You see where I'm going with this! :grin:

Actually made me stop and think..... I had a desire for that exact rifle and chambering back in that same time frame.

Some years ago I had a wonderful .25-06 Number One Varminter.

It was the most accurate factory rifle I've ever owned! Shot 100 gr Sierra SP's over H4831 into .3" groups at 100 yards. Recoil didn't really amount to anything.

What a great rifle. Should have kept it.
