SHOTS stands for Standard Hunting Or Target Shooting. They are kind of an old school cup and core bullet to provide a cost effective alternative to Nosler's more expensive models. They are fairly soft, yet have provided good accuracy in my .223 Rem. Haven't yet tested their performance on critters, but would expect them to perform similarly to standard Hornady SP and Sierra Spitzers. So far, in limited testing of the 55 gr version, I have been quite happy with their consistency and accuracy. Good deal for the money.
