Why doesnt someone make a sabot so i can shoot .338 or .375 accubonds or x-bullets out of my .45 cal T/C omega

Actually, I read a thread on longrangehunting where someone was doing just that. He was making his own sabots.
If they were available, I woould give them a try.

Where are you located in MI? I am North of Grand Rapids.

These are 150 grain 0.308 AccuBond bullets in a PVC Type II sabot. They are shot from a custom made 45 caliber smokeless muzzleloader with a 1:14 twist barrel. Velocity is over 3,000 fps.

In the past I have shot 180 and 200 grain 35 caliber bullets from my 1:24 Savage ML.
8mm bullets from my 1:20 Kreiger 505 Gibbs barrel.

Soft sabots work for most Ml needs. Some of us prefer to find the limits of our rifles capabilities, but most folks would not spend more than a dollar for a single sabot, and that is why they are not generally available.

edge.
