Has anyone glass bedded their sako 85 with the new style bedding block? I was looking at it and seems to me it would make a lot of sense just to bed the steel plate up front into the stock permanently. Then maybe bedding the rest of the action in a seperate operation? You could do it in one but you would have to work pretty fast and not sure it would gain you that much?
The other thing you could do is just do the tang and the steel bedding plate in the front to the stock permanent. Not sure how much you would gain glass bedding above the plate in the front?
If you were going to do a full bed I guess you would just tape the curved front portion of the lug or would you leave the lug unbedded in the slot of the steel plate?
Any thoughts?
