Salmon Fishing in Idaho

Went fishing with son-in-law and our oldest grandson today. We hooked (5) and landed two Chinook's. One was a nice keeper. Love fishing these king's in Idaho's Salmon river.

Such a great pic, I was about his size when I began my pilgrimage on the Kenai that took me from Northern California to the Yukon. I hope your grandson gets a chance to do the same. He really looks fishy.

Always amazing to see how far those fish will swim to reach their natal streams. I have dreams of what it must have looked like before commercial fishing and the dams.
