Weight for weight and all components and range distance equal, will the AccuBond's POI be the same as the balistic tip? Also, is the ogive the same? Thanks!

The ogive is very similar however I do not think the're identical. As far as your first question only your rifle can answer that.

My experience has been that either bullet shoots the same in my guns. There appears to be a slight pressure difference when I look at the primers, but nothing dangerous.

I've seen nearly identical POA and groups from my 270 wby.

The jacket on the AB is thicker...hence the pressure diff.

Like POP replied, only your rifle can tell you that.

There is no way to tell in advance what a rifle will do with different bullets.

I am lucky, I own a Remington 700Mountain Rifles LSS that will shoot 140 grain Nosler Partitions, Accubonds, or Ballistic Tips into the same point of impact. In fact, three shot groups shot using one of each of those bullets will shoot just about an even inch.

On the other hand, my 270 WSM shoots 140 Partitions, Accubonds, and Ballistic Tips to different points of impact. No way I can interchange them.

So, you will just have to try them and see.

Agreed with only your gun will tell you that. My .300RUM Sendero is four inches different .....180gr B-tips to A.B's........I'm sure finding the right combination of powders etc, one could get them to shoot in the same spot if needed.
