Dan asked that I post this photo.

35calibrebullet.jpg

Here is what he had to say:

"I finally hit something. Took meat this week end 3 or 4 year old cow quartering away. I hit just behind left front & found the above bullet right front shoulder:)
Haven't weighed it yet but I believe it is at least 90% of original:)
Will let you know soon. We ranged her @ 230 yards:)"

AWESOME!!!!!!! Very cool! What a recovery! Perfect! Congrats to Dan!

Cool. Good looking bullet for sure, and I'll bet the elk steaks look even better!

When he gets home, I'd imagine that Dan will have photos of his hunt. At least, he'd better have photos after all the hectoring of others to "take lots of pictures."

Outstanding Dan, congratulations!
Looks like perfect bullet performance.

Sorry Guys there are no photos as we loaded her ( Moose) and then became stuck for over 2 hours. We then drove back to the farm and hung her on the skinning pole and by the time we go finished skinning her out and it was after midnight and then had to be up at 5:00am the next morning to do it all over again.
I promise I will have good photos of our upcoming hunts.

Blessings,
Dan

Sask,
Nicely done, congrats on the success. The mighty 35 Whelen roars again.

She will provide some fine table fare, Dan. However, the absence of photos is likely going to cost you. I'm calculating demerits at the moment. Probably, there'll be some "gotchas'" as well.

Fotis actually it was a cow Moose and yes it was a 225 AccuBond.
This area is actually farm land where we were hunting and grain fed Moose are excellent table fare :)

Blessings,
Dan

Congrats Dan, a grain fed cow moose would be outstanding to eat.
