Sask Boy's 35 Whelen Draws Blood

Hi Fotis, the load for my 35 Whelen is as follows 225gr. AB over top of 60.0grs. of RL15.
I chronograph at 2715fps.

PS. 6mm you know western Montana is not that far come up for a weekend we could barbeque a steak or 2  maybe some Moose sausage as well.

Blessings
Dan

Hi Charlie, I wasn't lucky enough to get a Elk this year but as the saying goes a Swamp donkey is a good second .

Blessings,
Dan

That sounds very tempting Dan. I've been to your fare city a couple of times on boxing trips when a young lad. I remember being amazed at the size of it and the newness. The people up there treated us so kindly, and even though we are neighbors, they really did have a lot of questions for us foreigners. :) It was a great experience.

There is not much from the bush that will taste better than the meat of a young cow moose. Dan, you did well.

Well guys, I am just having toast & coffee I have planned a day of loading, cleaning rifles & cleaning up a messy man cave
Will have the Lap top with me.
PS. Will weigh that recovered 35 cal bullet.

Blessings,
Dan

YUP that is what I got...

Got it all ready.

Hi Guys, I am not sure if I post this or not but I weighed the recovered 225gr. AB and it weighed 197grs.
I am pleased with that as it did go through the right shoulder and was in the hide.

Blessings,
Dan

That's why I like the 225 in the Whelen, it's real stout.
