I know it's a shotgun close enought to a rifle right :)

Anyone try one of these yet. it's a bolt action 20ga rifled slug gun. Thinkn about gettn one as in certain states I hunt its shotgun only.

I have seen a few of the hardcore shotgunners use these. I have a rifled choke tube 11-87 that spits out the 1.25oz Buckhammers really well. Used it for a long time when I lived in a shotgun only county. Still use it once in awhile here in VA.

I think I have seen some videos with the 220 using some of the saboted slugs shooting some very impressive groups out to 250 yards. I think with a good BDC type scope, you would have a very serious shotgun. Scotty

The savage has a reputation as a heck of an accurate slug gun. An accutrigger should put it yards ahead of most slug guns. IMHO the biggest detriment (SP) to accuracy is still recoil and low speed of the slug. Muzzle lift affects the POI. I have never been able to beat it siccessfully, consistiently. Bretzels makes that Remmington shoot, Buck hammers gave my mossberg a 4 inch group at 50 yds. The 220 looks like a heck of a gun. Get a good scope so you dont have to second guess that.

i came across a Keystone in Cabella's the other day. Bolt action, nice wood stock, rifled barrel. It would need a side saddle mount but aside from that.... I would not pick the Keystone except that it is a couple hundred cheaper,
Incidentally, I have been really impressed with the new stevens pump actions, the old Ithica 37 patent I think. Ive seen a smooth bore one of those put three slugs in the same hole at 50 yards.
