I have a Savage 99 in 250-3000. Its a newer gun with the 1-10" twist barrel. I'm looking for a proven 100gr load for the gun. I would like to shoot the 100 gr BT. I live and hunt in the Adirondacks Mts of NY and we have some good size deer here.
Thanks for everyones help.

Welcome to the forum.
clover leaf should be along shortly to pass along his 250-3000 loads.

The 100 gr BT should work well for you. The 100 gr PT is year another excellent option as well.

Don't be scared to try the 110 grain AccuBond. I have taken 3 mule deer in the last 3 years - one over 300 pounds - and none required a second shot.

I am so predictable..... :)

100 Gr BT is the way to go. I have loaded some PT's with 38 Gr of H 4350. They are accurate enough but I have not used them on game.

The BT on the other hand hs worked very well. That same load broke the near side fore leg on an antelope and then poked a hole through both lungs before exiting at 264 yards.

38 Grns of IMR 4350 will produce a "cloverleaf" if I get lucky. More than that was too much for my rifle. Groups opened up.

My go to hunting load is 35 Gr. of IMR 4064. The one time I had a Chrono it read 3000+ fps and the group goes about an inch some times less.

Just for fun- 40 Grn of 4350 under a 75 Grn Hornady V-max has almost no recoil and is scary accurate.

Hope that helps- let me know what works for you. Tempted to try some of those 110's myself....CL
