Savage lightweight?

In 7mm-08 it would be a dandy!

Not too bad in 260 Rem either.

I guess my baby girl will choose next year.

FOTIS, you are truly and enabler!!!!!! I was just looking at that rifle this morning and really like it in 260 and 7mm08

I have the pulse of the people!

Check your spelling.

Savage not Salvage.

A very accurate rifle, one of the most accurate out of the box.
Very dependable, very efficient, very economical. From an ergonomic standpoint you can find a model that will work for you from the plethora of models they produce.

If that is not enough then I do not know what is.

What is the Salvage appeal?

Accuracy, consistency, a lot of rifle for the money spend.

AccuStock controlling horizontal and vertical flex of the receiver
AccuTrigger having a comp trigger that is safe for the owner to adjust it
Barrels button barreled rifles that are hand straighten
Floating Bolt Head always aligning the cartridge in the chamber correctly
Headspace Control is always perfect.

Everyone of these is what makes very expensive customs accurate and Savage gives all of them to the average hunter and shooter.

The best rifle you can buy for the money spent, plan and simple :)

Well that is the beauty of freedom.

You do not have to own one. More for us. :)

I've numerous Salvage and am at ease in denoting them for what they are. I'm slow to cuss things I've no firsthand accountings of,which is an approach different from most.

Their "rave" accuracy "reviews" are typically bolstered by Billy Bob Clueless, who is enamoured solely with their price tag and oblivious to what works and why. They are false economy, due to their construction and materials.

I'd be curious to know which Models and chamberings you have and thoughts in their particular regard? Thanks.

Everyone except maybe you have seen evidence on this forum for a long time the accuracy my savages have produced. The best way would be for me to take my savage rifles and meet you somewhere and you bring your best stuff or even someone else's best stuff and you and I shoot and see who does the best. Really, I am all for it, in fact, I would love to do it. We can do 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 and I will only use my out of the box savages that have had no work nor have I touched anything on them to improve accuracy. Also, every one on this forum knows I am serious about a shoot off. I beat on a regular bases three of my friends at our shooting range club who actually have F class and bench rifles. I think that would settle matters and remove any opinions based on theory, what do you say. :) We can let FOTIS be the judge, and once again I am serious.

I'm must have missed where you specified the Model(s)/chambering(s) you own?

Thanks for clarification,as I'd be curious to compare notes.

Actually I did not list any. There is a reason.

You're new here and from the very few posts you have it seems you have your mind made up about everything. So I can sit here and type forever and I do not think it would make a difference.

Not arrival date but your attitude.

Look at all your posts. One right after the other... but that will not last.

I've been eyeing one of these for a couple of months. I just wish Savage hadn't cut all those ugly holes in the bottom of the stock. Still might get one anyway.....in 260 rem.

Hey, not only do they reduce weight but they will allow that barrel to cool quicker between shots when at the range.

The weight is great but I wish they were 22" barrels. The 260 or 6.5 Creedmore have had my attention for a couple of weeks now that they're showing up on Gunbroker.

I know the holes have advantages but I still think they look ugly :( I still want one though...

I really wish they had 22" barrel also. Maybe I am just too picky

The savage does have the quick barrel change system............more or less.....
