Scored on a Featherweight Deluxe 270...

I load for four .270win's and they all shoot sub-MOA with 58.5-59.5gr H4831 and the 130gr BT & SGK. I haven't realized the same accuracy with IMR-4350 but it's always been close enough where if that was all I had, I would be satisfied.

Good luck with your load development and I hope your wife enjoys her anniversary gift.c

I have used IMR4350 for at least 35 years I have .5 MOA .

Yesterday I was treated to a four shot group which I covered with a dime. The load was 56 gr. of IMR-4350 and the 130 BT. I took a muligan on the fifth shot as I pulled it left 1/2 inch. Certainly I have to confess IMR-4350 and H4831 are truely rivals. Either one will deliver accuracy and velocity. The IMR4350 is getting me 3045 with BT,s and Gamekings. I don,t get quite that much velocity with 60 gr. of H-4831 sc. For years my go to powder for the .270 has been IMR-4831. However since it has been so difficult to find IMR4831 I have been using IMR4350 and H4831 without any complaints.

Oh, yeah, and one of the introductory models from 2008. Each of them had some beautiful wood on them. That is a sweet looking rifle, for sure. Congratulations.

So many of the model 70s have such good looking wood as well as being top quality rifles!!!

Blessings,
Dan

Thanks fellas...boy that's a dark stock ain't it?

I like it...even though in practice I prefer a good laminate or synthetic...I do like the look of good wood.
