I just got a box of .308 accubonds from Cabela's that had been on backorder. Well, the bit of tape that seals the box that says it is for customer protection had been opened. Is this something to worry about?
or is the tape worthless hype? Do I need to count the bullets and weigh
each one? Should I give Cabela's a hard time?

I would be a bit upset, just because it had been opened. They leave here with that sticker on the box so you don't have to worry about this kind of occurance.

Please private message me your information and I will take care of the problem.

I picked up a box of bullets, brand won't be mentioned, from a local gunstore. I did not notice that it had been opened before getting home. The plastic tips appeared to be a little crooked. I wondered if someone at the gun store had gotten some factory rejects, not seconds, in a bargain bag at a gun show and replaced them. I never bothered to take them back to the store because I didn't think they would do anything since I had actually left the store with them. I did put my micrometer on all of them though. From now on I check the seal.

I got some Hornady sst's at a friends suggestion. After shooting Nosler Ballistic tips the sst's had noticeably rougher finishing around the plastic
tip. Also I was disapointted in the SST's not having a boat tail in the
25 caliber when the cataloge said they did. I have a box of 110 accubonds I will try next in 25-06. I would like some load data for them
using Retumbo.
