Photo taken about 50 yards outside my camp last September. The light was wrong, but... I still like it:

At that range, in a legal hunt situation, I'd have liked to have had my 45-70 Marlin in hand, with stout-loaded 405 grain flat nose hard cast or 350 grain jacketed soft point ammo.

Guy, I hunted Moose up in BC back in 2003. I took a young bull and was happy as could be. I’d like to hunt moose again soon and think the .450 Marlin with either of the bullets you mentioned would be my rifle of choice.

When i shot my moose, the guide called in the chopper to take the meat bags, cape and horns back to camp.
It's the only way to go! :)
