Tomorrow I plan to get out early to shoot for the first time the rifle I will be using for deer/elk this year.

Tikka T3 Stainless 300 wsm, B&C medalist stock, Vortex Diamonback HP 3-12X42 BDC.

I have loaded up 180 accubonds behind Re 17, in norma brass, Fed 215, loaded to just fit in magazine and be able to feed.

5 rounds at 64.7
3 rounds at 65.0
3 rounds at 65.4
3 rounds at 65.7
3 rounds at 66.0

If I can get to the 66.0 grain loads safely and they shoot good, approx what velocities can I expect out of the Tikka's 24.3" barrel? Nosler Manual does not list Re 17, so I dont have a baseline for velocities.

Cartridge : .300 WSM (CIP)

Depending on chamber dimensions and ambient temperatures, you may see pressure signs. However, here is a projection.

Dr. Mike's QL data is pretty much spot on. This reflects my results with same load.

...I've been using Alliant's data for 6yrs. w/ very good results/ no problems, 4 different .300 WSM's...

...I have noticed that QL doesn't seem to like RL-17 for some reason...

It's not that it doesn't like it Gene, it just seems the burn rate is off. I got into trouble when my starting loads were max loads when working with my 35 Newton and 338 Win Mag. The speeds quoted speeds were good but the charges were off. Once you get those close or adjust the burn rate they came around quick.
