Shortening barrel length?

I was only going too consider doing this if for some reason it didn't want to print a good group. I'm going too be using factory ammo for breaking in the barrel.

I read on that particular website that he's had good results doing that with encore barrels that wouldn't print good groups. I was just courious if anyone had too go to that length to get a rifle to shoot somewhat decent?

He never said how accurate it is, nor what kind of accuracy he's looking for.
Yotesmoker gets good accuracy with his and the 160gr AB's.

Actually, my M70 26" doesnt shoot the 160 AB worth a crap but will put 5 160 partitions touching at 100 yards. Are you referring to the day we shot at your range and I shot 5.25" group at 400 yards? My wife Stacey made a straight on neck shot last year on her first deer at a touch over 350 yards, by rangefinder, with that combo from the prone.

In my rifle, 63.5 RL 22 works great with 160 Partition and 63.5 IMR4350 with 140 Accubonds using Fed215M primers. All I shoot is the 160P in my rifle anymore and use it for everything with great accuracy and killing power. I'm ready to put it to work on elk again in 2 weeks :)
