I got bored so I decided to load some Raptors. These are 230 grain with a BC of .490.
108 gr of H4350 scored a velocity of 3352 fps and a group of .8" at 100 yards. A fourth shot opened the group to 1.4" (Hot as Hades on the range).
Anyway will be playing with seating depth soon. Maybe a primer change?
Great thing about these is when you seat them they seat off the ogive so seating depth is the same with or without the tip! Also expansion is deadly down to 1600 fps.
For those not in the know here is some data
Enhanced System Projectile (ESP) designed to be shot as a hollow point without the Talon tip, a hollow point with the supplied Talon tip installed for long range shooting, or flipped around and shot as a solid for extreme penetration. Excellent lever gun bullets without the tip installed and are designed to magazine feed in any bolt action rifle with the tip installed. The BBW#13 nose profile on both ends of the bullet has proven to provide the deepest penetration of any nose profile to date. When shot with or without the tip terminal performance is second to none for putting game on the ground quickly. BC is .15 shot without the tip and is .49 with the tip installed.
Each box of 50 Raptor bodies comes with 25 Talon tips. Load development can be done without the tip and point of impact at 100 yards is normally within 1" when the tip is installed. To purchase additional Talon tips click on the "You May Also Like" tab above.

What shot 3175 fps and .3" last time with H4350 shot like Azz and the velocity jacked up at 3250 fps (HEAT?)
Same load 107 gr of H4350. Talk about frustration!!!!!!!! :evil:
