Have a decapping die with a broken pin. None of the pins fit that are available locally or at Midway, Amazon etc. I called RCBS.

Apparently I have a first run die with no date that was put together with parts unknown.

So for free they just mailed me the whole threaded rod and pin assembly.

A few years back I broke a decapping pin on a 30 Newton die, my uncle had given me the set and it was one in a cardboard box with the brown paper wrapping the dies. Anyway I called them and asked about buying a replacement and told them that I hadn’t even bought the dies but they still replaced it for free and included extra pins. If I remember correctly the original stem didn’t have replaceable pins like they do now.

I've had similar experience with RCBS and some other reloading companies. They've always gone above and beyond!

Never had to replace anything on any of my dies but it sure is comforting that these companies stand behind their products.

I have several sets of RCBS dies that have been excellent. My favorite dies are my 35 plus year old Hornady dies. I also have a couple sets of 40 plus year old Lee dies that have been very good as well.
