Found this picture on Field & Stream today. Nice.

A Double-Wide Deer
“I found that deer sleeping in a backyard among kids’ toys,” says photographer John Eriksson about this 13-point nontypical muley. “At first, he didn’t pay any attention to me. Then he decided to go next door and jumped the fence.” After speaking with residents, Eriksson learned that the buck has spent his entire life right in Helena, near Carroll College.

Location: Helena, Mont.

JD.

That is a near picture.

It never ceases to amaze how these ungulates can adapt to the presence of humans. For a couple of years I lived in Jasper. The elk and the mule deer overran the town during the time we lived there. They were certainly not tame, as a few tourist learnt each year. Before that, we lived in Coquitlam, and the mule deer, bear and cougars were in many of the neighbourhoods. The funniest situation was when a cougar got into the Labatt's brewery and had to be tranquilized in order to get him out of the area. He crossed a lot of neighbourhoods to arrive where he did. Now, we live in Dawson Creek, and it is not unusual, especially during the winter months, for moose and mule deer to winter in the town, living off the shrubs of home owners.

That is an awesome buck.

We have a WT heard out back, here are a few pictures from this afternoon.

usually about 9:00 am druing deer season, my wife calls me at the lease to tell me there are deer in the back yard.

I've got a 120 class 8 pt coming in but haven't been able to get a picture of him yet.
Last spring, we had some fallow deer show up. This one was in my back yard for about 2 weeks until the DNR shot him.

That's a pretty incredible mule deer buck in the top photo! Wow! Smart fellow, living where he can't be hunted...

Deer sign in our front yard off and on all winter. There's a school nearby, where they like to browse.

Terrific photos by all... I really like the little girl going out to feed the fallow deer... Cute!

Some neat looking wildlife strolling the lawns of people who post on Nosler forums.
