Solid Base: The Last Stand

I guess will have to take the bait. What is with the heading? Solid base: the last stand?

Are you going to discontinue the solid base line again? They are great bullets, I think.
If they are going away again I need to tell some friends who use them so they can stock up.

What is the real answer here?

Dunno. Bought 400 of 'em in .308 when they were on sale a few months ago. Also a couple of hundred in 6mm for the smaller rifle. The solid base bullets are useful in several of my rifles. Always thought they were a pretty doggone good bullet.

They have been discontinued again. We are currently selling what we have left on the shelf.

I guess that's why a recent internet order that included 300 solid base BTs came to me with the bullets zeroed out, DANGIT!!

I was afraid that might be the case. Good bullet, and it was kind of fun loading them again after all these years. Looking forward to nailing a buck with one this fall! :grin: After that it's back to the Ballistic Tip - another fine hunting bullet. Nothing lasts forever I guess.
