Can someone post the speer reloading manual recommended max charge of titegroup for the 90 grain speer gold dot in the 380 auto. Thanks

Speer #13 data for Tite-Group is 2.8-3.2 grns. with 90 grn GD-HP bullets. Yeilding 885-976fps. According to this manual AA#2 Impr. yeilds the best velocity with between 3.5-3.9 grns giving 982-1056 fps. AA #7 was nearly as good with 6.3-7.0(compressed load) for 941-1050fps.Unique 4.1-4.6(compressed)grns for 877-1034fps. 231 3.6-4.0 grns for 978-1031fps.

I hope this is helpful, seems like there are better powders for that bullet, but I like to load certain rounds with the same powder just because I don't want to keep that extra pound of powder on the bench too. And I only reload rifle where the smallest charge I load is 40 grns. Nevermind when you only use 3-4grns, that is great, you must get about 2000 rnds to a pound of powder.

The load data in the number 14 Speer manual has changed slightly from the number 13.

For the 380 Auto using the 90 grain GDHP Speer now lists:

Start Charge; 2.8 grains TiteGroup for 885 fps

Maximum Charge; 3.2 grains TiteGroup for 976 fps

These loads were tested in a Walther PP with a 3.8 inch barrel.
Cases were Winchester and the primers were CCI 500.
COAL tested was 0.970".
