Didn't find the .257 110 grain Accubonds I was looking for at Shooters Pro Shop, but I did manage to pick up some 70 Gr NBTS for my 6x47 and some 180 uncoated CT Silver tips to try in my .338-06. I found somewhere the CT Silver tip .338's had a BC of .501, seems kind of high for such a light bullet is this correct? If so what is the BC on the uncoated bullet?

I didn't give up my search for Accubonds however and found them at Dakota Ammo. I managed to pick up a few boxes of the 110 Accubonds and scored some 120 grain Swift A-Frames to try in my .25-06. Can't wait for this stuff to come in so I can work up some loads in my rifle.

Not sure where you've got that info on the 180 grain CT. I have the 200 and it is listed at .414. Coating the bullet would not change bullet BC... rifle does.

See that is what I get for posting on the IPhone. Screen isn't big enough and the 180 CT bullet I was looking at was the .30 cal. Get to a full size computer screen and I can have everything on the same page. But they still don't show the BC for the 180 grain .338 caliber or a listing for it at all.

Oh well at $10 a bag I thought they would be worth a try. Maybe turn my .338-06 into a varmint rifle to plink with. I'm just really happy the 70 grain NBT bullets were available as well, couldn't find any locally for a few months now.

I bought a few bags of the uncoated 180gr BT's also. Figured I could give them a try in the 338 Win Mag, I probably won't load them full bore, but I think at around 2800-2900 they would be a good load for my wife or son to use for bigger game like bear and maybe elk. With the muzzle brake it should have recoil about like a 243 or less.

I did grab some 225gr PT's for the 358 Win also. I have been waiting awhile to get some of them, so I figure with a 150 of them, I should be set for quite awhile. Scotty
