I actually just purchased one of these and was curious of your opinions on the quality/accuracy of the two. I plan to do target shooting and hopefully get in to some practical shooting competition in the future.

thanks

I have carried a Glock 22 as a duty weapon for 9 years. Great shooting gun, reliable and has always went bang when I pulled the trigger.

I have owned two Springfield XDs. A 4" 9mm and now a bi-tone 4" .40S&W. They to have went bang every time the trigger is pulled, feels a bit better in my hand then the Glock, are accurate and reliable.

You can not go wrong with either in my book.

thanks for the feedback guys. I did purchase the springfield and so far i really like it. seems to shoot pretty good and I really like the way it feels. I have better access to the mag release and the slide release than with the beretta.

All i have right now are Glocks but i have had a few XDs that were good pistols. A few guys in the local IDPA matches use the XDM 9mm and have really good luck with them.
