HUNTING WITH THE NOSLER M48 IN 30 NOSLER

I have finished two hunts this year one in the spring where I shot a 70 pound Javelina bore and one a little over two weeks ago where I got a black bear (light brown colored) in Arizona.

I will be writing an article for AmmoGuide in Price's Corner on their web page featuring the Nosler M48 in 30 Nosler entitled "STANDING ALONE" after the first of the year because I have one more hunt to go on in South Louisiana for White Tail using the 30 Nosler.

In that article will be photos of the game taken. Here are few photos of the country in which I was hunting the bear in Arizona.

Beautiful area.

Yes 5shot, it is a beautiful area and full of game but not user friendly when hunting.

Looks like young man country with all those steep hills to climb but it sure is beautiful.

Yes truck driver, it is young man country, it is a hard country for an old man and the seven days it took to get a bear took a toll on this old man. Almost fell off a cliff, just missed it by about 10 inches catching hold of something the last second.

You sound like me when I was hunting in Montana the other year.
I was chasing a big Mule deer buck up the side of a mountain trying to get in front of him to cut him off when I stopped to get my bearings and started sliding backwards while standing up back down the mountain side. with nothing to grab hold of I dug the but of my rifle into the ground to stop my slide as I watched the buck top the ridge and keep on going. I would have had to been half mountain goat to catch up with him and he was only walking and not being pushed.

Well truck driver, at least you did not get hurt and there will be another deer one day :)

Yep the 35 Whelen AI saved me. That and being stalked by a Wolf were some of the high lights of my trip. :)o)

I Loved hunting AZ, when I lived there. Took some quick getting up to date, equipment wise (cacti Everywhere), but it's an under-rated state, especially for bear. (cottontails too)
