sub-sonic 30.06

I would like to load for sub-sonic 30.06. Do I need an inert filler in the case to take up the empty space that is left with a smaller amount of rifle powder ??

If so, what sort of inert filler ??

I would try trailboss powder with heavier bullets.

150gr nosler BT WITH 13.3gr of trailboss should be around 1050fps.

You can use shotgun buffer as a filler for metallic cartridges. It can help eliminate hangfires. Not sure about trailboss loads, but i would difinitely look into filling the case as much as possible. Having said all that, i have used H4895 at 60% of book recommendation as is commonly done. May not have been subsonic...need to check on that with chronograph and your setup.
